Prewarm Antibody Screen

Description:

The Prewarm Antibody Screen test is performed at 37°C in contrast to the standard antibody screen, performed at room temperature (approximately 22°C). This test detects antibodies reacting with red blood cells at temperatures closer to body temperature. This test helps to diagnose autoimmune hemolytic anemia, transfusion compatibility reactions, and differentiated antibodies involved in cold agglutinin disease.
