Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is produced by follicular cells during egg sac development. The AMH concentration in a woman’s bloodstream correlates with her ovarian reserve (egg count and fertile years). The test can diagnose polycystic ovary syndrome and is useful in planning IVF treatment as well as monitoring the treatment for ovarian cancer.
