Cherry allergy occurs due to IgE-mediated reactions in sensitized individuals. Clinically, they present with respiratory symptoms. Pru av 3 is the major allergen that causes allergic reactions to cherries. By employing the Cherry IgE allergy test, healthcare providers can detect the presence of specific immunoglobulins that are causing the allergy and guide the patient for necessary modifications and immunotherapy.
