Fibrinogen Level

General Info:

Description:

Fibrinogen is a key protein converted to fibrin during the final stages of the coagulation cascade. A fibrinogen assay is indicated to assess the adequacy of fibrinogen in the blood and helps to monitor suspected clotting disorders, liver disease, disseminated intravascular coagulation, inflammation, or certain cancers, or monitoring during certain therapies as abnormal fibrinogen levels induce a risk of bleeding.
