HLA Class I and II Typing for HSCT Donor (Low-Intermediate Resolution)

General Info:

Description:

HLA Class I and II typing for hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) donors at low-intermediate resolution involves identifying broader allele groups with techniques of sequence-specific primer PCR or sequence-specific oligonucleotide probing with intermediate resolution. This method assesses HLA-A, -B, and -C (Class I) and HLA-DRB1 and DQB1 (Class II) genes. Matching helps to identify compatible donors and minimize graft versus host disease.

Important notes: Intended for pretransplant matching (in HSCT) for families of potential recipients. Please provide the recipient’s name and MRN.
