IgE Allergy, Animal Panel 70 epithelium (guinea pig, rabbit, hamster, rat, mouse) detects the immunogenicity of allergen particles derived from cells of the outer layer of the body, proteins found in the skin cells, saliva, and urine of animals. Prolonged exposure causes type 1 hypersensitivity reactions manifesting as rhinitis, asthma, conjunctivitis, food allergy, and anaphylaxis. Healthcare professionals use this test to determine allergy status and guide allergen-specific immunotherapy.
