Test Details

IgE Allergy, Blueberry

General Info:

Description:

Blueberries, scientifically known, are commonly consumed antioxidant-rich fruits worldwide. Some individuals develop sensitivities to proteins present, leading to type 1 hypersensitivity reactions that produce IgE antibodies. Susceptible people to ingestion can develop allergic symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, itching, hives, or, in severe cases, anaphylaxis. Healthcare providers use this test to assess allergic status and guide allergen-specific immunotherapy.

Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
