The IgE allergy test for Isocyanate HDI assesses sensitivity and allergic potential to hexamethylene diisocyanate, which is commonly found in lacquers, coatings, and spray paints. HDI exposure can result in occupational asthma, contact dermatitis, and allergic alveolitis. Cross-reactivity may exist between various isocyanate conjugates. This test aids in diagnosing sensitivity, establishing allergic status, and providing guidance for allergen-specific immunotherapy.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
