Chimerism evaluates the presence of two genetically distinct cell populations in an individual resulting from transplantation procedures. Depending on the engraftment requirement, the degree of donor chimerism is essential, which can vary from low chimerism with a small percentage of cells of donor origin to complete or full chimerism with a majority of donor cells. Monitoring indicates graft engraftment.
Important note: This sample is mandatory for post-transplant recipient chimerism comparative analysis and reporting. It is a one-time order. Please contact the lab for any queries
