Live oak (Quercus virginiana) is used for coffee, oil and food purposes. Oak pollen is a major cause of asthma, allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis. Exposure to Oak dust can cause sore throat and trigger bronchial hyperresponsiveness. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
