Melaleuca, a perennial grass species, is a significant source of airborne pollen causing seasonal and perennial rhinitis symptoms in grass pollen hypersensitive individuals. Pollen exposure occurs through inhalation. Grass pollen sensitization involves carbohydrate reactive IgE antibodies, cross-reacting with various pollen allergens. This test identifies specific IgE antibodies linked to triggering allergens, aiding in diagnosing allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
