Mustard (Brassica), a globally available crop, contains proteins with allergenic potential which can lead to immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Commonest allergic manifestations are allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, asthma, oral allergy syndrome and anaphylaxis. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
