Oak tree (Quercus alba) is a wind-pollinated slow growing tree. Exposure to pollen through inhalation might induce Type 1 hypersensitivity reaction presenting as allergic rhinitis, allergic rhino-conjunctivitis, asthma and pollen food allergy syndrome to fruits and vegetables in sensitive patients. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
