Orange tree pollen is involved in primary sensitization and can induce symptoms of food allergy, oral allergy syndrome, eyelid oedema, sneezing, epigastric pain, vomiting, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, throat swelling, atopic dermatitis, food-dependent, exercise-induced anaphylaxis and exacerbation of perennial asthma. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
