IgE Penicillin G test detects serum IgE levels in patients sensitized with allergens of pencillium G, an antibiotic used to treat infections. They are known to induce Type 1 hypersensitivity reactions which can manifest as immediate reactions characterized by rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, bronchospasm and anaphylaxis or as delayed urticaria or angioedema.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
