Dengue IgM antibodies, generated in response to the virus, become detectable in blood 3-5 days post-symptom onset, persisting for about 2-3 months. This test diagnoses recent dengue infection. Elevated levels signify recent infection, while sustained elevation may indicate a secondary infection.
