Cockroaches’ whole insects, including their saliva, skin debris, faeces, and eggs, act as a source of allergens that can form dust components and induce type 1 IgE hypersensitivity allergy on exposure through inhalation. Allergic reactions manifest as rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, anaphylaxis, and atopic dermatitis. IgE estimation helps healthcare professionals diagnose, treat symptoms, and guide immunotherapy.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
