Lamb meat allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction associated with consuming lamb meat or lamb-based products, often caused by tick-associated hypersensitivity reactions. This hypersensitivity reaction is mediated by IgE-mediated responses directed against galactose-a-1,3-galactose, a carbohydrate found in saliva and ticks of all mammals except humans. This test detects specific IgE antibodies causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
