The IgE allergy test for spinach evaluates sensitization and allergic reactions to leafy vegetable spinach (Spinachia). Spinach allergy can lead to symptoms such as oral allergy syndrome and urticaria. Those sensitized to spinach may also display cross-reactivity with fungi imperfecti (Alternaria-spinach syndrome). This test identifies IgE sensitization and determines the allergy status of individuals.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
