Dr Carlo Kaabar is the Chief Medical Officer of PureLab and has over 35 years of extensive healthcare experience, including implementing eHealth programs and technology development. His prior senior positions include Group Quality Manager for one of the largest pathology groups in Australia, Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department at American Hospital Dubai, CEO of Futurelab Medical Laboratories in KSA and Change Management Lead for the eHealth Strategy and Change Management Office at the KSA Ministry of Health.

His professional interests include clinical chemistry, quality management systems, accreditation, change management, eHealth and healthcare technology.

He has a strong clinical background as well as a proven track record in building successful partnerships and creating change in healthcare environments.

His colleagues describe him as a highly accomplished and compassionate executive who leads with an obvious passion for healthcare, especially the medical laboratory profession.

Dr Kaabar has contributed regularly to continuing medical education in the region, including chairing the Laboratory Management Conference at Medlab Middle East for 15 years and organizing the well-attended PureLab webinars. He has lectured and led training on numerous technical and non-technical topics. He is an Associate Fellow and a certified Health Manager with ACHSM.

He is certified with the Change Management Institute and with Blanchard as a qualified Trainer in SLII.
