NBS Future Strategy 

• National Neonatal Disease Early Detection Program: This initiative broadens neonatal care to include the latest scientific advancements, such as testing for genetic immunodeficiency disorders and spinal muscular atrophy disease.
• Diagnostic Laboratories for Genetic Diseases: By utilizing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), this technology has the potential to transform the identification and confirmation of genetic disorders, including hereditary blood diseases and infectious diseases.
