The Coagulation Panel test measures activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), prothrombin time (PT), Fibrinogen and D-Dimer. These parameters assess various aspects of the blood’s ability to clot. It is commonly used to evaluate the function of the coagulation system and to diagnose or monitor bleeding disorders such as hemophilia or clotting disorders such as vitamin K deficiency.
