HLA Class I and II Typing for Solid Organ Donor (Low-Intermediate Resolution)

General Info:

Description:

HLA Class I and II typing for solid organ donors at low-intermediate resolution identifies general allele groups, with sequence-specific primer PCR or sequence-specific oligonucleotide probing, for assessing types of HLA-A, B, C (Class I), and HLA-DRB1, DQB1 (Class II) genes with lower resolution broader categorization.  It helps with donor-recipient matching for solid organ transplantation, and organ allocation, ensuring compatibility and minimizing rejection.

Important notes: Intended for pretransplant matching (in SOT) for donors of potential recipients. Please provide the recipient’s name and MRN.
