Asparagus allergy occurs due to IgE-mediated reactions in sensitized individuals. Clinically, they present as occupational asthma, contact urticaria, or IgE-mediated food allergies. The IgE allergy test helps in identifying the IgE sensitization to asparagus allergy. By identifying the trigger allergen, healthcare providers can inform the individuals about occupational exposure and guide targeted therapy.
