Description:

Bay leaf is a culinary herb derived from the evergreen tree Laurus nobilis, known to elicit a type 1 hypersensitivity reaction on exposure to its allergens on ingestion or skin contact. Clinical severity may be mild to severe, presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms, rhinoconjunctivitis, atopy, and occasionally anaphylaxis. Healthcare professionals use this test to determine allergic status and guide allergen-specific immunotherapy.

 

Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
