The IgE beef allergy test is used for the diagnosis and management of patients with beef allergies. Clinically, they present as oral allergy syndrome, presenting from contact urticaria to anaphylaxis. Bos d 6 and Bos d 7 are the major allergens eliciting allergic reactions. Healthcare professionals can directly assess the allergic status, facilitating prompt and effective intervention.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
