Chicken feathers are a significant cause of sensitization in poultry workers and are known to elicit a type 1 hypersensitivity reaction following exposure to inhalation or contact. The allergic manifestations may present as respiratory and cutaneous allergic conditions, including allergic rhinitis, asthma, pneumonia, anaphylaxis, and atopic dermatitis. IgE estimation helps healthcare professionals in diagnosis, symptomatic treatment, and immunotherapy.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
