Coffee produces aromatic seeds that are powdered and consumed by people worldwide; contain cysteine-rich metallothioneins acting as an allergen known to induce type1 IgE hypersensitivity allergy on dust inhalation or ingestion causing rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, gastrointestinal symptoms, asthma, anaphylaxis, and atopy. Healthcare professionals can directly determine the allergic status by measuring IgE sensitisation and facilitate effective intervention.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
