The IgE allergy, enterotoxin A test is employed to identify staphylococcal enterotoxin A (SEA). SEA, a potent superantigen, has the potential to impact the immune system, causing various infections. Exposure to SEA can exacerbate allergic airway disease. Healthcare professionals utilize this test for the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory diseases, such as atopic eczema, rhinitis, nasal polyposis, and possibly asthma.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
