Kiwi fruits are edible berries that have allergenic proteins with potential cross-reactivity. Allergic reactions to kiwifruit stem from an abnormal immune response to its proteins, manifesting after consumption with symptoms ranging from oral allergy syndrome to anaphylaxis. This test detects specific IgE antibodies to identify allergens causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
