Barley malt (Hordeum vulgare) is used for multiple food and beverage production. It may sometimes induce symptoms of food allergy in sensitized individuals. It has been reported to induce baker’s asthma, urticaria, facial itching, quincke edema. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
