Milk contains more than 40 proteins, and all of them may act as human species antigens capable of inducing hypersensitivity reactions especially infants. Cow’s milk can induce gastrointestinal and dermatological reactions including asthma and rhinoconjunctivitis in young children. This test detects specific IgE antibodies causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
