IgE mountain cedar test is used to detect IgE antibodies produced when individuals are exposed to mountain cedar, that are known to produce severe allergy called cedar fever. Allergens can induce Type 1 hypersensitivity reactions causing affecting upper and lower respiratory system leading to allergic rhinitis, asthma, allergic rhino conjunctivitis, wheezing, angioedema and anaphylaxis.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
