Parietaria judaica, (asthma weed) triggers frequent allergic reactions. Inhalation of its pollens induces Type 1 hypersensitivity reactions. Sensitized individuals may experience IgE-mediated reactions from the fruit pulp components, like papain or chymopapain, leading to symptoms of food allergy, atopic dermatitis, or angioedema. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
