Allergenic proteins are known to be present in the parrot’s feather bloom, are associated with allergic reactions triggered by frequent exposure to avian aeroantigens, including proteins, present on the feathers. This can lead to hypersensitivity, pneumonitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, bird-egg syndrome and asthma. This test detects specific IgE antibodies involved in causing such allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
