Pear commonly consumed as fresh or canned as slices can induce Type 1 IgE mediated reaction or cross-reactivity. Ingestion of Peel and flesh or contact with pear proteins may manifest as chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, asthma, allergic rhinitis, contact dermatitis, urticaria, pollen food allergy syndrome. This test detects specific IgE antibodies associated with these allergic reactions.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
