Description:

Pecan nut (Carya illinoinensis) seeds contain protein allergens such as 2S albumin, 11S legumin and 7S vicilin which can induce Type 1 hypersensitivity reactions. Pecan allergy is known to manifest as oral allergy symptom, urticaria and gastrointestinal reactions.  This test measures target IgE antibody present in the patient’s specimen and measures immune status.
Important note: Minimum volume is 1 mL and 0.5 mL for every additional allergen.
