LMW Heparin Level

General Info:

Description:

Low-Molecular-Weight Heparin (LMWH) is a type of anticoagulant medication similar to unfractionated heparin that works by enhancing antithrombin III activity. LMWH is clinically indicated for preventing and treating venous thromboembolism, deep vein thrombosis, coronary syndromes, and pulmonary embolism. Monitoring helps to maintain optimal LMWH levels for preventing, treating thromboembolic events and surgical prophylaxis.
