Osmolality Urine

General Info:

Description:

The osmolality urine test measures solute concentrations (sodium, chloride, and urea) in urine, evaluating hydration status and kidney function. High osmolality indicates concentrated urine, and low osmolality suggests diluted urine. Abnormal results may indicate conditions like diabetes insipidus, Addison’s disease, congestive heart failure, or shock, warranting further evaluation.
